Abandoned Horses Are Latest Toll of Drug Trade

Found tottering alone in the desert with their ribs visible and their heads hung low, horses play a backbreaking, unappreciated role in the multibillion-dollar drug smuggling industry...

12-03-2010 Gilbert Promotional Corporation Needs HELP!

The Gilbert Promotional Corporation needs your help and I'm calling you to action.  The Town of Gilbert is not going to renew the lease with Maricopa County for the property that Gilbert Rodeo Park sits on.  This means that we are losing that piece of property.  The Town has "vowed" to help us relocated - but we are perfectly happy to stay right where we are! (not to mention the manpower and cost involved in moving the entire facility) I urge you to contact the Town of Gilbert Council Members to let them know that Gilbert Rodeo Park and the services that we provide are not disposable.  We love the kids that play soccer, baseball, tennis and football - but the kids that love to ride horses need and deserve a place to do so as well.  Tell your friends, and family members to send emails and letters too.  We need your help now more than ever.  If you enjoy any of the events that occur at the Gilbert Rodeo Park - barrel races, Queen Creek Jr. Rodeo, Arizona High School Rodeo, Arizona Junior Rodeo, Wrangler Jr. Rodeo, Ropings, 4H Horse shows and County Finals, The Craft Fairs, and of course the Gilbert Days celebrations and the Western Heritage and Traditions that they stand for - please send a quick email to the town and Maricopa County Government.

We only have until February 15th to let our voices be heard - Please help us save our Western Heritage and Traditions - help us  show our worth and value to the Town of Gilbert - let your voice be heard!!!
